Busy Days, I have noticed many of my days are busy, yet it is wonderful to be busy with art, my daughters and more art. I have created a few items in between studying my Master’s college classes. I have found when i mix drawing and mixed media there are interesting results. I began my process by watercolor painting a few poppies. I then color copied them to play with in my mixed media, using Derwent colorsoft pencils, mat medium, old book text, stamps, stamped deli-paper, and a wonderful saying stamp from Ranger, dylusions – from Clearly the Right Words set. Ranger has very interesting stamp sayings.

Original watercolor is on the left, the color copy I used for the mixed-media is on the right. |

Final mixed-media piece, I used only half of the color copy to create this. I might create another piece with the other half. |
